Ana Pratt
Executive Director
Colonial Assisted Living at Fort Lauderdale
What inspired you to get involved with seniors?
At the core of my journey was the desire to explore a field that offered both challenges and rewards—a domain where I could truly make a positive difference in people’s lives. With a nurturing spirit and a passion for delivering exceptional southern hospitality, I took a leap of faith into the realm of long-term care, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable. Being able to impact lives and create meaningful connections has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this transformative journey in long-term care.
How did you become an ED of Colonial Assisted Living Community?
As my family and I prepared to move back to South Florida, I sought recommendations from my then-employer regarding reputable assisted living facilities in the region. They graciously pointed me towards Colonial Assisted Living, and to my delight, there was an opening for an Executive Director position in the Fort Lauderdale location. Upon meeting with the corporate team and experiencing the warm atmosphere and dedication to resident well-being, I knew in my heart that this was the perfect fit for me. Joining Colonial Assisted Living has been a true blessing, and I am committed to leading this exceptional community with passion and compassion.
Hobbies / Personal Touch?
In my leisure time, I indulge in a variety of hobbies that bring me joy and fulfillment. Among them are scrapbooking, dancing, and embarking on exciting deep-sea fishing adventures. But beyond personal interests, I find immense happiness in involving my kids in meaningful activities, such as volunteering at food banks and soup kitchens to lend a helping hand to those in need. Being able to share these experiences with my children not only strengthens our bond but also instills in them the value of compassion and giving back to our community.
